Towing Winch LARGE

The uniLIGHT tow winches of the 3rd Generation represent another milestone for F-towing in model flying. With these winches, the towing can be operated extremely comfortably and safely in everyday use. The tow rope can be automatically reeled in after the glider releases, ensuring a safe flight and worry-free landing. The intelligent reel-up mechanism offers numerous possibilities for both beginners and professionals. The functionality, electronics, and software are identical across all models; only the installation size, weight, winding capacity, stiffness, and thus the application areas differ.  

The LARGE standard version is designed for ambitious towing, with an increased winding capacity, also suitable for thicker and longer ropes, for use with loads up to +25kg, featuring a large rope guide and ropes with diameters ranging from 1.5mm to 2.5mm.

Die Winden bestehen aus CNC gefertigten Aluminiumteilen und gefrästen Faserverbundplatten. Damit erreichen wir geringstes Gewicht bei höchster Festigkeit. Als Antrieb dient ein leichter, bürstenloser Motor mit einem blockierfreien Riemenantrieb. Mit einer Rutschkupplung ist daher auch ein Betrieb als elektrische Feder möglich. Die Motorendstufe, die gesamte Kontrollelektronik und auch das Servo für den Notabwurf sind bereits integriert. Jeder Winde liegt ein leistungsstarkes uniLIGTH.at Blitzlicht bei, mit dem der Betriebszustand noch vom Boden aus erkennbar ist. Jede Winde ist über die uniLIGHT PLUS Schnittstelle und unserem uniLIGHT.DESK in Windows und Android konfigurierbar. 

In its default state, the winch operates universally in manual mode, allowing for towing, winding, and emergency release. Additional intelligent functions can be activated via the DESK software. First, the rope length must be calibrated, meaning the length is stored. Numerous functions become fully available once this is done, with the key systems being:

• Intelligent release: The rope is only released once it is almost fully unwound, preventing accidental unspooling on the ground. 
• Dynamic towing with electric spring function: This can be set for a specific rope length, so the glider will only be towed up to that length and then gently stopped.
• Manual, intelligent reeling: Can be activated during towing if the rope sags. As long as there is movement in the rope, the function remains active; it automatically deactivates when the rope is still or fully extended.
• Remaining rope function: Determines how much rope is actually reeled in. This value is fully adjustable and can be tailored to the towing model. 
• Remaining rope reel-up: Automatically reels in the remaining rope when the model is stationary on the ground. 
• Configurable winding speeds in all operating modes.
• Manual optimization of all parameters or automatic setting after the learning process.
• Galvanically isolated system with master-slave shutdown does not require its own switch for power supply.
• Bedienbar über nur einen Servokanal, 2S LiPo/LiIon als Versorgungsspannung. 
• Under-voltage protection safeguards the battery while still allowing the emergency release of the rope in a classic towing operation.
