First, the included small contact plate is securely glued into the wingtip, sides, or the elevator, ideally using strong epoxy and optional pinning. Ensure the text on the contact plates is readable to maintain correct polarity. In the top view, the right side is always plus.
The connection cable is routed centrally within the airframe to the fuselage. All Night Blades can be easily operated in parallel with a 2S LiPo battery or any uniLIGHT lighting control system. Be mindful of the allowable current load and sufficient battery capacity; a shutdown due to total discharge could be disastrous at night!
To activate, simply place the Night Blade onto the mounting plate with the two screws and tighten – electrical contact is made automatically. Ensure the labels are always remain readable.
The reflector surfaces should then be bent once to direct as much of the light emission as possible onto the model.
CAUTION: The reflector surfaces harden and can only be bent a few times. Secure the glued area before adjusting the surfaces by hand or with small pliers to prevent the adhesive joint from breaking.
After the flight, the Night Blades can simply be unscrewed for easy transportation. No trace of the night-flying system remains.
After installation, check the operating temperatures. We cannot guarantee against overheating.
Warning: The LED lights are extremely bright! Never look directly into an LED!
